Lead Pastor

Kurt and Kimberly Sovine have been involved in the ministry of Connexion since it began in 2006, and Kurt has been involved in full-time ministry since 1998.  Coming from strong Christian families, both Kurt and Kimberly came to know Jesus as Savior when they were young. After graduating from Toccoa Falls College in May of 1998, they were married and then came to Danville. They have two daughters - Ansley and Alyssa. Kurt and Kimberly consider it a great honor to serve the Lord in Danville and are blessed to be a part of such a great church family!

Church Staff

Nathan Lenstra has been involved with Connexion since the beginning in 2006.  He has been a full-time staff member since 2010.  Nathan graduated from the University of Illinois in 2002 with a degree in chemistry education and taught chemistry at Danville High School for two years.  He then spent two years teaching and being involved in missions work on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in North Dakota.  Nathan moved back to Danville in 2006 to go to seminary and to be involved with the planting of Connexion, and he graduated from Urbana Theological Seminary in 2009.  Nathan's ministry interests are cross-cultural ministry, teaching, children/youth, and Christian community development.
