Connexion Church Grooveshark (Music)

Dear Connexion Family,

 

Psalm 98:1 says:

 

"Sing to the LORD a new song,
for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him."

 

I love this idea that God's salvation encourages, inspires, and perhaps even demands a response of praise and thanksgiving. As is apparent from the Psalms, music is one of the greatest mediums for worshipping God. The Psalmists often encourage the people to sing new songs, to constantly be looking for new rhythms, chords, melodies, harmonies, and instruments as a reflection of the endless, boundless possibilities of God's grace in our midst. While we never abandon the powerful, awe-inspiring worship of the past, we embrace the opportunity to reflect in new ways upon God's salvation.

 

With these thoughts in our hearts and minds, the worship team would like to offer Connexion an easily accessible library of music so that together we can familiarize ourselves with the words and melodies and discover new and exciting avenues for worshipping our God. Our primary motivation is to see Connexion grow closer in intimacy with God and with each other. We hope this musical library will enrich your times of personal and corporate worship!

 

To access the musical library:

 

1.) Visit the website: http://grooveshark.com/#/connexionchurch

2.) On the left hand side, you can choose between two different playlists: "Praise and Worship" or "Great Music."

3.) Hit the "play all" button at the top in order to add all the songs to the queue.

4.) To shuffle the song order, click on the double arrow button next to the volume control on the bottom right. (Clicking the button a second time with turn shuffle off.)
